WHEELING — Jeff Miller of Wheeling Elks Lodge No. 28, the current president of the West Virginia Elks Association, will make his official visit to the Wheeling Elks on Feb. 7, when he attends the regularly scheduled Lodge meeting at 7 p.m. that evening. He will be accompanied on his visit by his wife Debbie, the current first lady of the West Virginia Elks Association.

Installed as leader of the nearly 11,000 Elks in West Virginia at the annual convention of the West Virginia Elks Association in April at the Pipestem Resort, Miller and his wife will make official visits to each of West Virginia’s 22 Elks Lodges this year. They also represented West Virginia at the Elks National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., in July. As West Virginia’s president and first lady, they also will make official visits at State Elks conventions in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Kentucky.

Miller served as Exalted Ruler of Wheeling Elks Lodge 28 in 1990-91; and served as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 2000-01. In addition, for the past 12 years, he has chaired the West Virginia Elks Association’s Scholarship and Statuatory Law Committees.

A graduate of John Marshall High School in Glen Dale, Miller received his undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University. He is a member of the Wheeling law firm of Bachmann, Hess, Bachmann and Garden, PLLC, and serves as Judge of the Municipal Court of the city of Wheeling. He is a past president of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. In his spare time, he also is a high school basketball official with the Ohio Valley Board of Basketball Officials. He and his wife currently reside in Glen Dale.
