Palin in St. Clairsville Sunday

Tickets for vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's visit are available from 5-9 p.m. today at the Belmont County Republican Headquarters on Jefferson Street in Belmont or at its satellite office on Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville.
ST. CLAIRSVILLE - The public will get the chance to see Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Belmont County this weekend, but everyone attending will need a ticket, according to Belmont County GOP Chairman Kent Moore.
Those free tickets will be available today, he said.
Palin is slated to speak Sunday at Brush Run Park on Airport Road. Gates will open at 3 p.m., and those wishing to enter are encouraged to be at the venue by 3 p.m.
Tickets can be picked up from 5-9 p.m. today at one of two locations: the Belmont County Republican headquarters, located at 408 S. Jefferson St. in Belmont; or at the satellite headquarters at 107 Plaza Drive, Suite A at Plaza West in St. Clairsville.
Tickets for the event will also be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at both locations.
There are two reasons the presidential campaign of U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., wanted to come to Belmont County, according to Moore. He said the volunteers in the county have doing a good job and that the campaign also realizes "rural Ohio is important" to winning the state and the election.
"We are excited, and we have been working on this for several weeks," Moore said. "This just shows how important rural Ohio is in this presidential election."
The campaigns of both McCain and U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. are to be in the battleground state of Ohio this week.
In West Virginia, the regional Northern Panhandle Jefferson-Jackson Dinner will take place Saturday at the McLure House Hotel in downtown Wheeling. Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland is the keynote speaker, and West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin is expected to be in attendance.

wonderwhy: Well Suicide Hill Bridge was built when Archmoore was still Govenor, but then the hill road was closed due to slippage, well the Aetnaville Bridge was never finished as Ohio built a new section to the WV. line, but WV. never completed the remainder of the bridge so it has sat there partly finshed for many decades. Oh, I forgot all about the other bridge to nowhere, located on Rt. 40, which has been replaced by a new bridge so that makes 4, lol

Ayers was guilty of terrorism. He got off because of "illegal surveillance methods". His own quote on his terrorist past? "We didn't go far enough" and "Guilty as hell, free as a bird, isn't America great?" No, Obama did not know Ayers when he committed terrorist acts. But he was a close associate of Ayers' as an adult VOLUNTARILY even after Ayers made those comments. Ayers is guilty of terrorism, by his own admission. He is proud of his past, in his own words. Obama not only associates with him, but has yet to denounce these despicable acts and disassociate himself from Ayers. By the way, Obama was registered as a Muslim in his school in Nigeria. His father and grandfather were Arabs & Muslims. He did not officially change his religious affiliation until he was 31 years old. These are FACTS. I'm not so much worried about his being a Muslim as I am with the fact that he feels a need to hide it from the public and lie to us. Character, honest

Unlike Obama, McCain actively sought the support of terrorist and criminal G. Gordon Liddy or served on the board of the neo-Nazi US Council of World Freedom. In a letter to the editor published in the NY Times today, William C. Ibershof, who was the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s says that he is amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers’s terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child. Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen. The Alaskan Independence Party's Joe Vogler stated "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her*******institutions." "Keep up the good work" Sarah? Bill Ayers bombs the Pentagon and the New York City police headquarters. Obama did work with him. Billy held Obama a fund raiser at his home. Do your homework, people. Our economy maybe can't afford McCain, but our country sure cannot afford to have a radical as a president. Do your homework. The relationship with Barack and Ayers goes back to the early 80's, not the 90's as Barry likes to put it.
