2:50 p.m.: Wilson delays ruling in Visa/Mastercard case

By FRED CONNORS
POSTED: October 30, 2008

WHEELING -- Ohio County Circuit Judge Ronald Wilson has delayed issuing his final ruling on how four attorneys could split up to $3.9 million in fees from the Visa/Mastercard case.

Wilson today issued a statement to those involved in the case, saying that he found the issue of attorney's fees "to be far more complex and important that I realized when I told you that you could expect a decision within 30 days. I now doubt that the order will be issued until sometime in December of 2008."

The case was filed by West Virginia Attorney General Darrell McGraw and litigated by four attorneys, including Wheeling lawyer Teresa Toriseva.

More details in Friday's edition of The Intelligencer

This is truly sad.

Millions that could have gone to the state.

And, Judge Wilson who won't make a decision until after the election.
