WLU Economics Club to Host Noted Author

POSTED: June 19, 2009

Thomas Woods, best-selling author and senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, will address the next meeting of the West Liberty Economics Club at noon Monday at the Fort Henry Club in downtown Wheeling.

Woods is the author of nine books, including two New York Times bestsellers: "Meltdown" and "The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History."

"Thomas Woods is a foremost economic commentator," said WLU Government Policy Research Center senior fellow Erik Root. "As a senior fellow at the Mises Institute, he brings a wealth of knowledge to share with those interested in a unique perspective on our economic conditions."

Copies of Woods' book will be available in addition to a signing opportunity with the author.

The lunch menu features a buffet for a cost, payable at the door. The event is open to the public, but RSVPs are requested and can be made by calling 304-780-8144 or via e-mail at jkoegler@westliberty.edu.

Woods' appearance is being sponsored by the Government Policy Research Center at West Liberty University, supported by a grant from the BB&T Foundation.

For additional details regarding the event, call Root at 304-336-8003 or the university's Office of Communications.
