Did Army Killer’s Faith Shield Him?
The IntelligencerA critical part of the investigation of Maj. Nidal Hasan, who allegedly killed 13 people and wounded 29 others in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, involves who knew what about the danger he clearly posed. Could the shootings have been prevented if law enforcement and Army officials had recognized that Hasan was a time bomb waiting to explode?
Also to the point is a question few have been willing to ask: Did political correctness give Hasan, a Muslim, a "pass" that a soldier not of another faith would not have received?
Preliminary indications are that some in law enforcement and the military saw signs of trouble in Hasan. For example, he made no secret of the fact that he believed it was a sin for Muslim soldiers to fight against Islamic terrorists in the Middle East.
How serious were the warning signals? Were law enforcement and military officials reluctant to do anything about Hasan because of his religion? Were they afraid of being accused of "profiling?" Those questions simply must be answered.

Lorenzo-- I think you miss a very important thing about Islam and Muslims. Their religion is their LAW, their POLITICS, their "FOREIGN POLICY", their LIFE! If you quit trying to see the world through "American", 21st Century Eyes, the sight you will behold of the world will be different. That is also the reason for a failing US Foreign Policy. As individuals and a country, we need to view the world as others see it , not as we WISH or THINK they should see it!

This is like a seminar on the words of Islam. I know it’s easy to Google up a side by side translation of the Koran, but we can’t stop any religion in its tracks. With no central leader of doctrine, any Muslim can stand up , proclaim inspired leadership, mix religion with politics, and hide behind violent ignorant donkey herders. The literate, intelligent and the must stand up to tyranny some day. I think just about all the problems come fundamentalists: Muslims, Christians, ****, Corporatists/Republicans, Liberals/Democrats, Gays, Capitalists, Socialists, Survivalists, Tree Huggers, etc. etc. They all need some moderation if we are going to survive together. In the meantime, let there be real world justice for those kill innocent people. Let the defense lawyers know they should honor truth instead of bloody lies and excuses.

To translate, it was forbidden to have intercourse with females,while they were menstruating, and it was forbidden to do the same with women. It was also considered a curse to mahe a barren women, and intercourse was often forbidden with them. But what is the reason for the prescribed Iddah for girls, who haven’t menstruated yet? It is, obviously, because sexual intercourse has occurred between the child and her husband. It is, thus, clear that marrying prepubescent girls and having sex with them is sanctioned by the Quran.
