TURNER, Carl D., 81, of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
He was born March 8, 1931, in Ohio County, W.Va, a son of the late Roy and Mae Patterson Turner.
Mr. Turner was a retired employee of John Diekmann Nursery, a Methodist by faith and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; a brother, Gilbert Turner; and a son-in-law, Bill Kaemmerling.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca L. Kaemmerling of Moundsville and Jodi R. (Jim) Franklin of Moundsville; two granddaughters, Becky J. Kaemmerling and Amy J. Kaemmerling, both of Moundsville; and his two favorite dogs, Troy and Mercedes.
Friends received noon to 3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Online condolences may be sent to www.altmeyer.com.
